Sorry for the delay in our posts, she keeps me pretty busy through out the day...you'd think I could find time to put pictures up, but she doesn't take too many naps and when she does it's not for long. It helps though because she sleeps so well at night...or maybe it's because she is in our bed??? I know, I know, they aren't supposed to sleep with you, but it's usually because I accidently fall asleep and I think subconsciously, I know she is there. She usually starts out in her bed beside ours, but it's much easier to just grab her out of that and feed her in bed rather than to get up and feed in a rocking chair hoping that she will stay asleep as you lay her back down. Besides, I love cuddling with her! Anyway, my time management skills have gotten better and I have came to realize it's amazing what you can do with one arm and a baby in the other:) She is such a blast though and we are enjoying every minute of her! We love taking her out and she likes it too! We went and walked around the San Tan Mall saturday night because it was so nice out. We can't wait until Christmas-it will be even nicer! She is moving so much more and getting so strong too! She is also developing a little personality it seems like. She will smile so much in the mornings when she is waking up. We will keep talking to her and it's like she can't stop smiling...it's the cutest thing! Here she is enjoying some tummy-time!
Hanging out while mom cooks dinner! She has hit the toys a couple of times:)
How could you not cuddle with this little thing!
Here are some of her morning smiles!

She also is getting ready for football season! She reads up on the Cowboys everyday with dad and she has already been watching their pre-season games. I made her a Cowboys bow and I had to make her a onesie because her jersey is too big to wear this year.

Peyton is 1 month old!
This weekend we took Peyton out and about for the first time! She turned one month on Saturday! To celebrate her one month birthday, we took her to Babies-R-Us and got some toys, clothes, and other random items. We also went and saw Nonnie this weekend! She cooked us a delicious breakfast too!
I am one Month old!
You like my new hat? I can even wear it in the pool! They had a swimsuit that matched, but the style wasn't very cute.
She is so funny!

She also had her one month appointment and everything went great! She weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces, and she has grown to 21.5 inches! The doc said she is doing great! Also, saturday night was the first night that I have been away from her for longer than 45 minutes! I had a bridal shower and decided not to take Peyton since it was in the bar section of the Grand Lux Cafe. So it was just her and dad for the evening! I was sad to leave her because I knew that I would miss her so much, but I knew she was in good hands with her daddy. I had a really good time, but I couldn't wait to get home! I had never been there before, and I will definitely want to go again because it was delicious, but with Kenny and Peyton! I recommend the Asian Nachos and Buffalo Chicken Rolls with extra buffalo sauce! Mmmmmm good! We also took her to the mall on Sunday! We were in The Children's Place and I found a really cute outfit and it ended up being cheaper than I thought! So I went to look for some more stuff while Kenny was walking around the store. A few minutes went by and Kenny came up to me, laughed, and said "Hey we either need to go or I need to buy a new shirt" because Peyton spit up on him! He said a little girl in the store saw right when it happened and she started laughing:) He just held her the rest of the time we were there with the burp cloth covering the stain on his shirt. We just laughed about it!

Quick update...And some new pictures
We have gotten through almost a full week on our own! We have had so much fun with her and really the only thing you can do with newborns is just watch them. Kenny and I will just sit there and soak it all in because we know she will grow so fast. By the way, she has already grown 1/2 an inch:( We took her to the doctor on Monday and she weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces so slowly, but surely she is gaining her birth weight back. We also had to take her to get her heel pricked for a screening and that broke my heart because she had to be pricked twice! Daddy was holding her as I was holding her hands and kissing her head! But she was a trooper...just a little whine and she was done. She is one tough little cookie! She also smiled for the first time. I was in the kitchen and I heard Kenny laughing on the couch so I ran over and barely caught the last bit of her showing off her top gums! Oh it was adorable! She has smiled since, but I can't get a picture of it! It is amazing how long you can sit there and do absolutely nothing but stare at something you made with someone you love and be perfectly content. A few things that we have learned:
1.She hates being on her back-Oh man it's just the END OF THE WORLD when we change her diaper! She is ok when she sleeps, but if she is awake, don't even think about it!
2. We learned to keep the diaper under her until the new one is right there ready to take the dirty one's place (that only took 3 times...I think she loses control of her bladder because she is crying so hard) Luckily she is not a boy-but then again it probably wouldn't have taken us 3 times to learn that if she was:)
3. She would love to put that thumb in her mouth, which is a habit that we don't wanna try and break later...thank goodness for the cute little mittens
4. When she cries, something is wrong-usually only a dirty diaper...she is such a great baby
Can't I just sleep without Auntie Kelli and mom playing dress up?
Waking up after taking a nap with daddy.
Meeting Aunt Katie for the first time!
Me and my cousin Paige
I always fall asleep in my boppy
Our first family picture...well, the first one after being home and not in a hospital gown:) Those things are not very flattering.
Another family picture
This is when I just want to scoop her up and kiss her all over! But I know she needs her sleep!
Her first nap in her crib...only lasted about 10 minutes until we picked her up

Peyton has finally arrived!
Birthdate: 07/08/09
Time: 1:56 pm
Weight: 7 pounds 10 ounces
Length: 19 inches
Here we are getting ready to leave for the hospital-really weird knowing we wouldn't be back without our baby girl!
Here we are just after finding our I am dilated to a 10! Gotta love them epiderals!
Officially a mama! About 20 minutes after delivery! The BEST feeling in the world! Look at her grip around my finger!
Officially a Daddy! A proud one too!
All ready to go home! I don't think Kenny has ever driven so slow:)
At home all snuggled up with daddy
Hangin' out in my swing...This was mom and dads lifesaver the first night we came home and I was in party mode at 3 am!
Even though we were at the hospital from Tuesday night until Friday morning the only time that I was at all uncomfortable was for the 10 minutes after they broke my water and then the next 10 minutes it took for the epideral to kick in. After I got the epideral I fell asleep for about 2 and a half hours. I woke up shaking really bad so Kenny went and got the nurse. At the time I got my epidural I was dilated to a 3...at this time when the nurse came in I told her it felt like I was pushing, but couldnt help it. She checked me and I was dilated to a 10! Peyton was still really high so they didn't want me to push or I would be exhausted. They let my contractions work her down until about 1:15 or so then I started pushing with my nurse about 5 times until my doctor got there. I pushed another 5 times and she was out! It was the coolest to see her for the first time. Kenny was the greatest and even cut the umbilical cord! He wasn't given much room at all to cut...no kidding like 1/4 of an inch! Dr. Gomez said, "ok dad, you wanna cut?" Kenny took the scissors and Dr. Gomez said, "right in between there." And Kenny, "was like, right there?" with a look like are you kidding me?! But we think that since we did the cord blood banking they couldn't waste much of it because they needed a certain amount of blood. After that, they did everything they needed to do with the baby and me and just like that it was over! We ended up having to stay an extra night because I was clotting really bad, but everything ended up okay! Thursday morning the pediatrician came and checked her and he told us he could hear a heart murmur. It's really common with newborns, but he wanted to take precautions and so they did an ultrasound. He called us Thursday afternoon and said everything came back ok. That was a scary, but thankfully everything came back great! Peyton is also such a strong little girl. She can wiggle out of her blanket and she will even pop her head up a lot! She also hates to have her diaper changed, but we think that is because she hates to be on her back! So dressing her is a chore as well. But, all in all she is such a blessing to us and not to mention the rest of our families! We are so in love and cannot get enough of her. I dont want to sleep, even though I know I should, but I just find myself staring at her and kissing her and I just cannot stop! I love her little lips and soft skin! She is just absolutely so perfect! We love her!
