Proud sister over here!

Let me start with a little background info...Hailey, my little sister, is in Colorado right now for softball nationals. She made the allstar team and they had their game tonight, which they won! Well, the exciting part of this post is to brag that my little sister did so well in this game that she made All American!! I'm not sure if I worded that correctly, but anyway, basically there were some colleges there that actually spoke with her a little bit AND she was invited to play in New York next year! I can't explain how proud I am of this little girl. She is only 14 and one of the youngest girls there. She isn't even in high school yet and already has accomplished so much! We are flying to Denver on Wednesday and luckily, we will be able to see her play in another allstar game as well as the national tournament. This will be Peyton's first time flying so here's hoping she is a pleasant passenger...we'll see! Hope everyone has a happy and safe Independence Day!

Kodak Moments

Good Luck trying to keep this little girl still! I forgot to post these when she turned 11 months and I just thought it was so funny because I couldn't get her to look at the camara for more than one picture!
Some peaches for my Peaches! She makes this funny face everytime you look at her when she eats:)
Her new favorite fruit, KIWI! She can't get enough! But I had to cut back when her diaper was basically one big black kiwi seed! Ok, not really, but there was a lot and it kinda freaked me out for a second! Her new favorite thing to carry around are the travel size lotions and shampoos. She was never a pacifier baby, but when she found them in a little box on her changing table she new just what to do with it!
Excuse the dirty glass, but it's impossible to keep clean when everytime the dogs are outside, she goes up to the door and watches them while they bark at our neighbor's dogs! It's cute because she usually cheers them on and smacks the glass like "Show those neighbor dogs whose boss!" Haha! Hailey had a tournament last weekend, but she didn't care too much...mmm I LOVE LOVE LOVE that lip!
I made her some glazed carrots the other day and she chowed them down! She's had carrots before, but I don't know why I never thought to make them like this! Super easy too and very delicious! Even Kenny liked them, and he is picky about those veggies!
Kenny was in a wedding this past weekend and what a handsome groomsman he was!Helping mama clip her coupons! This little rocking chair was actually my dad's when he was little and Peyton LOVES it. Would you like some of my powdered donut grandpa? Oh I'm sorry, I ate it all, but I have some powder leftover!

More Bloggin'

I'm on a roll with posting lately...I think this makes four for the week??? Or maybe just three...anyway, it's more than what I have been doing lately. I'm sure I said before that she definitely keeps me busy all day and blogging isn't on my list of priorities. However, I have been able to sneak a few in and this one is just a random one, but I thought I would share anyways.

So, it's a work in progress, but I am still redecorating our master bedroom. The walls are painted and I have a few accessories in place, but I have not found the drapes that I want so it looks a little unfinished without window treatments. The comforter has not been put on the bed, but I did start another BIG project that I am so eager to finish, but it is just so dang hot outside! I will pass on the heatstroke, thank you! I just really need to learn to finish one thing before I start another because I have a lot of stuff on my project table in the garage! Anyway, on to my big project...
BEFORE:AFTER:Yes, I am staining our furniture! The two smallest pieces down, and the other four big ones to go!

Another "hobby" I have gotten back into is couponing-is that a word? I kinda gave it up and just recently started back into it. I may not get on here and blog all the time, but one thing is for sure, I always check out www.moneysavingmom.com to score whatever deals may be out there. I will admit though, I did this all myself and who says you have to pay $15 a month to have some lady tell you what to get and what coupons to use? (No offense to those of you who pay for that service:)) I was so proud of my shopping trip today that I just have to blog about it! I got all this...plus all this:If I didn't have coupons up the wazoo over here, I would not have gotten over $70 worth of stuff for $26! Yeah, that's right $26! And it is not just stuff, these items are actual necessities! How did I ever let this "hobby" slide to the back burner?! I get so much joy out of saving money...or supporting my husband's habit of energy drinks with the money I would have spent;)

11 Months!

My last post has the update, but we had to get our monthly photoshoot in! However, I did forget to mention that she has 9 chompers now! We don't think she suffered too much, but her molar gave her a hard time for a couple of days.

Whoa! Can time just stop flying by PLEASE!?!? Last night, after we put Peyton down, we were talking about how we can't believe she is almost one! The last few months have been such a blur because she is learning so much and the older she gets, the faster it goes...now we know why our parents say that. She brings so much joy, love, and laughter to our lives and we are so grateful for such a perfectly healthy and happy baby. She still loves playing peek-a-boo and it never gets old! She also picked up a pretty good habit...she tries to get dressed herself! One day she crawled into her room and when I went to check on her, she had pulled a pair of shorts out of her laundry basket and was trying to put them on! It was so cute! She just doesn't understand though that she can't wear everything. She'll try to put anything on her feet... wipes, shirts, hair ties, and whatever else! She gets into anything she can and is OBSESSED with everything on her changing table...especially the lotions and powders. She just likes to carry around the bottles. Kenny is hoping she will get bored with his dvds soon, but I really don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon! He tells her no and smacks her hand (don't worry, not that hard!) but she must relate the word "no" with the action of laughing hysterically because that's exactly what she does! It is actually pretty funny! We try not to let her see us laugh when she does it though. She loves to share her snacks with me and the dogs have quickly learned that when she is in her walker and they follow her, she will share with them too! What a little cheeseball!Mmmm, I like that chocolate stuff! I was sharing my chocolate ice cream with her!About to get into stuff that I shouldn't! Playing with the puzzles that Paige gave her. Until something caught her eye...my cranberry slush! She likes those! She LOVES dogs! She cracks up when they run around!
She loves to share! Saturday we were at Kenny's parents' and while I was in the pool, Theresa was giving her snacks and when Peyton saw me, she put her hand out to share some...even though I was all the way across the pool! It was so sweet:) Here she was sharing with me and Kenny! Pop-Pop always makes me some delicious sweet potatoes when he grills! Me and Paige swimming in our cool pool! The big pool kinda freaked her out! She was okay after a couple minutes though. She tries to put everything on her feet!Everytime we say, "where's the baby?" she puts her arms up and thinks she is hiding. Then she will sit really still and move her arms out after a few seconds then laughs and gets so excited when we say, "there she is!"
