Happy 90th Birthday to my Poppy!

This man is awesome! He is my great grandpa and he is the cutest little man! He travels all over-driving himself too! No joke, he will be in Canada one week and Arkansas the next to go fishing and hunting! I love him! He had so many friends and family there! It was such a great turnout! Here is a family photo of a lot of us who were there. Of course my cousin Will and Kenny scoped out a football and we could find them nowhere else but the big yard outside playing! Then it all came to an end when their football was accidentally thrown into the lake:(

Baby Shower!

I have been so worried lately because the only thing that Kenny and I have done in the nursery was paint and even that is not completely finished! We only have some touch-ups to do, but I have had this nagging voice in the back of my head telling me "you have less than 7 weeks, she could be born any day now," but after having the baby shower I feel much better! I am a little upset though because I did not take any pictures, but one! So I figured I would at least post that one:) My mom took some that I will post later, I just haven't had time to download them onto my computer. Didn't Kelli do such an AWESOME job on my diaper cake?!?!
Sunday night I was up til midnight (which is about 4 hours past my bedtime) going through bags, I finally fell asleep, and got back up at 5:30! Worked a little more at unpacking gifts and fell asleep at 7:30 until 10. Then I went swimming for the first time since I have been pregnant which is very nice, by the way:) Then yesterday, my cousin came over to help me some more fold and put her clothes away. My parents and Kenny also surprised me and had the crib all set up Sunday night when I got home from my shower. We got the changing table set up last night so now I feel so much better because her room is finally coming along! This little girl is going to be so spoiled! She got tons of clothes, accessories, necessities, and much more!

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all the moms had a great day yesterday! Kenny and I were apart for most of the day, but we both had a great time with our moms. My mom, my sisters, and I started off with church which was a really nice Mother's Day service that I really enjoyed-maybe because I will be a mom soon. We then picked up my grandma and went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse. Surprisingly, the wait was not that bad. We also went and got some stuff for the shower. Kenny spent the day with his mom and they went swimming and grilled. We both had a really nice time with them!

Happy Mother's Day to me! When Kenny and I registered there was a blanket that I thought was so cute. Kenny, being the cute husband he is, remembered and got it for me:)
I figured I might as well put up another "progress picture" :) She is getting so big! And she moves around so much! Kenny was kinda freaked out a couple weeks ago because he was feeling her move and she just stuck in a position where something hard and bony was sticking out. He quickly pulled his hand back and looked at me and said "whoa, that was kinda weird" lol But he is used to it now:) My heartburn has gotten worse, but the only new complaint are leg cramps that wake me up and my heels hurt at times, but other than that I love being pregnant!
As of today I am 32 weeks!

A little bit of everything...

I feel like I haven't updated in forever so here is one! We had another appointment last week and everything is still going smoothly! Although, my heartburn is so bad it's almost unbearable! Thank you TUMS! But, I get it in the middle of the night which sucks because I am already getting up at least twice to go to the bathroom and I am lucky if I fall back to sleep right away. I feel her move all the time and it's the most amazing thing!!! I am sure I have said that already, but I can't get over it! It's getting a little more uncomfortable to find a sleep position or even a sitting position at Hailey's tournaments. I have gained about 23 pounds and I can tell. My stomach feels so heavy when I try to stand or get up or roll over. But I know when I see "Baby P's" sweet face the day she is born, I will forget all this uncomfort. And I know that I don't even have horrible pregnancy side effects compared to some other women, so thank you Lord! Oh, and I had a dream that she was born and when I saw her, she looked exactly like Kelli when she was born.

I think I might end up going on a little rant here, but bare with me...I am not sure where this will end up:) Since I have been pregnant, I realized how little things that I worried about in life just are not that important anymore. For example, paying our HOA. I hate paying that every quarter! It's so expensive, and we get a couple playgrounds, and basketball courts with no lights. Yes, we have a nice entrance with a waterfall into our neighborhood, but it's not worth what we pay.

Then I sit here and think about a little girl who was on my sister's softball team. 13 or 14 years old, went to the doctor, was diagnosed with strep throat, then to find out a couple weeks later that it was not strep, it was leukemia. She went into PCH and started treatments immediately. One week later, she got her blood work back, and miraculously, it was gone from her bone marrow! She still has it in her blood, but after only having a week worth of treatments, she has came so far.

At first, I thought "this is so unfair for her and her family to be put through something like this" because this whole family is great! Some of the nicest people we have ever known. Now, I don't know where everyone stands when it comes to God, and I am not the type to push him on everyone who doesn't believe in him, but I believe he has a reason for everything. We may not understand his reasons, but he gave her leukemia and decided to take it back. I don't want to name any names, but please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.

So as I sit here writing about what this family has gone through the last couple of weeks, it makes me so incredibly grateful that I have been healthy, my husband, my family-they have all been healthy. Not that I ever have taken life for granted before, but it's not everyday that you thank God, or whoever you believe in for your life. We get caught up in things we want, "need", things we can't afford, and so on, but that's life. Now this brings me back to my original comment about since I have been pregnant, there are so many things that are not worth worrying about. When we got my blood work back and the doctor went over it with us, it is the best feeling to know that everything came back okay. I will never want anything more than to know my children are healthy and stay healthy.

Another quick little story: When Peyton started to move just about everyday, there was one day that I could not tell if she really moved. I was worried just because it was almost like clockwork when she would move. After a couple of hours I called Kenny upset, but staying calm. No lie, a couple minutes later, she kicked. It was almost like her telling me "don't worry mom, I'm good" :)

We finally got the trim up in her room, her clothes hung, but it is nowhere near being ready or her quite yet:) I don't want to put pictures up of the nursery until I can put some up of the finished product:) Here is a picture from a couple days ago. I think 30 weeks and 4 days. I am pretty much living in Kenny's shirts now, unless we go out:) And please excuse the bellybutton-it's a little outta control now-a-days lol
Last Wednesday we got tickets to the U of A and ASU softball game. U of A won both games-sorry mom:). Hailey is obsessed with U of A so she really wanted to try and get some autographs. She was only able to get one, but it was the one she really wanted. It was the short stop because she plays short stop too.

Another "milestone" (if you wanna call it that) is Kenny's little brother, Matt, had his first prom this weekend! To think he turned 10 the day me and Kenny became "official" is just crazy! Now he is driving, dating, and growing up! They looked so good! And I love, love, love her dress!

Another project I am about to start for the nursery is a rocking chair. I found one on Craigslist for $15! After seeing it, I think she could have sold it for way more. Lucky me! And we only had to go about 4 miles to get it! I will restain it and reupholster it to match the other furniture. Well actually, Kenny said he will because he doesn't think I should be breathing stuff like that in, and he is probably right...I love my hubby:)

Another quick note, school is almost out! Yay! One more week:) Hope everyone has a good week!
