What's been goin' on...

Well, this last weekend we spent Saturday in Avondale (pretty country, NOT) for Hailey's softball tournament...which THEY WON!! They all played awesome and didn't lose a game that day! Hailey hit 2 homeruns to start off a couple of the games! I am not only saying this because she is my sister, but there is not a game that goes by that she does not impress me! Speaking of, there was a team that they were playing and one of the coaches walked over to my parents and asked if there was anyway they could get her to go to Gilbert High to play! She is only in 7th grade for crying out loud! That is how good she is! She plays shortstop so I guess you gotta be pretty talented to play a position like that:) Then that night we played poker and won $40 plus our $40 back:) Sunday was Hailey's birthday! So we bbq'ed and ate some good steak! She is 13 now! So sad how fast they grow up:(

We also started our 2 season of softball. We went 1-1, but we haven't played since November. It took us an hour to warm up. Well, I shouldn't say "us"... technically I don't play...I am the "manager" haha. Kenny didn't know if it was such a great idea that I play because if some was to hit me in the stomach or anything. So I am the official score keeper:) We have a game tonight so I will let ya know how that goes...we are playing the former champions, but we went 1-1 with them last season.

Here are a couple of pictures from our wonderful Christmas that we had! We do not even know what we are having, but my parents have a hunch it's a boy! If not, she can still wear a big blue bow to match her Romo jersey:) They got Kenny and the baby matching jersies and me and the baby matching shoes:) So cute! We also got frames from Kenny's parents...sorry I don't have pictures of them, but they are are super cute too! I can't wait to start the nursery!

We had a great Christmas and New Years! We spent all day with our families and had a great time with everyone! We hope you all had a nice Holiday as well!

We are having a baby!

We have so much to update on our blog! I definitely got lazy over Christmas! First off, we found out that we are having a baby! We had our first appointment last Monday to confirm it:) We could not determine a due date, but hopefully by our next appointment we will know a little more! We are super excited!!! It wasn't really planned, but it feels like the right time! I thought I might have been a few months already, but my doctor said I am definitely not that far along. I have felt great though, just tired. No morning sickness or anything...I know I am very thankful for that:) Kenny has a softball game tonight so I will update about Christmas and New Year's soon because we have to leave now!

It's almost here!

Christmas is less than 2 weeks away! CRAZY! We pretty much have all of our shopping done, except just little odds and ends. It's kind of a bummer though because we look forward to Christmas shopping! This will be our 8th Christmas together and our 4th one married! That is just insane to me!

Time to reminisce...I remember waking up, or Kelli waking me up, and running out to see if Santa had made his pit stop by the Maher's yet. We would check the cookies on the plate and the carrots in the front yard-the reindeer needed to eat too:) Then we would quietly go through our stockings and when we were finished with that, we would then go and wake up our parents!

Now, Kenny and I are making our own traditions. Christmas Eve, we always put on A Christmas Story and wrap everyone's gifts. Christmas Morning, we wake each other up, then depending on if we fell asleep before putting each other's gifts out, we will hurry and put them under the tree before the other one sees:) Then we put on some Christmas music and open our gifts to each other. I love it!

Here is our tree...We do it blue, silver, and white for the Dallas Cowboys:) We can't put any gifts under it because we think Winnie might chew on them.
This is our first ornament we bought together. We got it on our honeymoon in Newport. It's a starfish...just painted...obviously:)

The greatest band EVER!

Kenny and I went and saw ACDC last night! Let me tell you...Angus Young is INCREDIBLE! It was kind of funny because, however long ago the new ACDC cd came out, I was looking at the pictures in it and I had never seen Angus Young (or at least I never realized that was him) and when I saw him I asked Kenny, "You named our dog after that guy?" And I am so proud that is his name because Angus Young is AWESOME! These guys put on a great show! One really funny thing that happened at the show was at one point Angus Young took off his jacket and started being kinda dirty with it...don't really care to explain it...then he did it with his tie, then took off his shirt, and Kenny thought he was gonna pull his shorts down and moon the audience because of the way he had his back towards us, but he didn't. He pulled his shorts down, but had on ACDC boxers that just said ACDC across the butt. Anyway, he is an amazing guitarist and I am so glad that we got the chance to see them in concert! I wanted to sneak my camara in, but that would have sucked if they found it and we would have to walk back to the truck and stuff so I only took one picture right before the concert.

Catching Up...

I don't know where the time goes! It's been a while since we updated this so...I guess the only important thing that has happened lately is Thanksgiving. We had a great one! Spent all day with family and watched football! Cowboys won, which made it even better! We also have been getting ready for Christmas! We have about half of our shopping done, which is kind of a bummer...we love going to the mall around Christmas time, even if we don't find anything for anyone, the atmosphere is just fun to be around! We finally finished getting our lights up too! We started last weekend, but for some reason, some of our lights weren't working. So we finally went and got some more and finished our house today! We will probably do our tree tomorrow night! Kenny also played in a Turkey Bowl last Saturday! I never saw Kenny play football in high school because we started dating in December of his senior year, so by then his season was over. It was fun, even though they went 1 and 2 for the day. He is such a good quarterback! I loved watching him!
