Date Nights
My mom's friend had some tickets to the D-Backs game Thursday night that weren't going to be used so she gave them to us! Our seats were on the 3rd base line in the 19th row plus she had a parking pass that couldn't be any closer to the stadium! Since she gave us four, we invited my cousin Josh and his girlfriend Brie! We had so much fun! Josh just turned 21 last week so he was excited to buy a round for him and Kenny! Cotton candy, YUM! I thought the Randy Johnson one was so funny because of his hair!
Since we had Peyton, we don't go out as often. It's definitely not due to lack of babysitters-we have a PLETHORA to choose from, we would rather just stay in though. As much as we missed our Sweet P, we know she was having fun with Kenny's parents. On Friday, we decided to keep it going and went on another date, just the two of us though, and leaving Peyton with my parents this time! We went to the movies for only the 2nd time since P was born! I am so glad that we have our families so close that when spur of the moment decisions come up we are able to leave her in good hands. Our parents are always telling us that it's good for us to get out and I am so glad we finally did. Our little date nights were so much fun and after almost 9 years of me and Kenny being together, I am still so in love with him and can't wait for more date nights to come!

Happy Birthday to our Little "Love Bug"
Our precious Peyton turned 1 year old on the 8th! We celebrated by having our parents over for baked ziti along with desserts of carrot cake and cherry cheesecake cupcakes!
Opening presents! Spoiled? I think so!
Mom and dad got me this cool slide...it's just a little difficult to get back up this way. Ohhh, so that's how you get back up! Thanks Paige! She got the hang of it real fast! Now, she will hardly sit up there for a split second before sliding down. I am ready for the zoo with my new wagon from PopPop and Nana Holmes!Checking out my sweet ride from Grandma and Grandpa Maher!Yum! My own carrot cake!Celebration #2 pictures with aunts, uncles, and cousins coming soon!

Move over daddy...there's a new man in her life!
We went to lunch with Katie, Stefani, Kelly and her little boy Preston. What a Cutie Patootie he is! Katie got a really cute picture of them holding hands while they were in their strollers too, but I wasn't fast enough! He wanted to give her a kiss, but she kept kicking him away. She likes to play hard to get! We got a monkey on our hands!Auntie Katie (and baby Ryker in her belly) showing her how to do it! Playing in the yard..and practicing walking with mom!Have you met Angus, my bodyguard?P.S. If you happened to notice how FILTHY my child's legs are, it's from crawling that day...We do bathe her on a regular basis:)

Home Sweet Home
We are back from Hailey's softball nationals in Colorado and even though we had such a great time, there is no place like home! Hailey's team did really well compared to all the other teams from Arizona, the best actually, but ended up with a record of 4-2. I am not sure where they placed, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't 1st. Thursday afternoon, after our trip to the zoo, we went to one of Hailey's games then had to head all the way across town to Hailey's All American game. And she did FANTASTIC! There were 27 girls on her team and she was the youngest! The majority were juniors and seniors. Offensively, she did great! She only batted once because the team was so big and she had a perfect bunt, which got her on base. She ended up stealing 2nd and 3rd before finally scoring. Defensively, she did just as well! She fielded a ball and got it to 2nd just in time to make a double play and get the girl out at first too! We were so proud! She met a bunch of girls from other states and had a great time! Her team ended up winning by 1! Here are some pictures from our trip! I was a little bummed I didn't take more during the games, but I got a lot at the zoo which deserved separate post!
Grandpa showing P the planes!Peyton did awesome on the plane! She missed her nap that she usually takes in the late afternoon because of all the commotion at the airport, but as soon as we got on the plane she fell asleep and woke up when we landed! It was perfect! Here we were in Westminster for her game Thursday night. It was so pretty there!Hailey warming up before her big game! Her game was even being recorded by ESPN! She was a little nervous;)Here was P during the game...She doesn't realize yet just how fun it is to watch softball. She was way too into that cracker! On our way to one of Hailey's games from the zoo we drove by Mile High Stadium where the Broncos play! Not that we are fans, but our niece is. Go Cowboys! :)Here's Natalie! One of our family friends who just moved up to Colorado a couple of months ago! We were so happy to see them, and of course Peyton was in seventh heaven with Nat! She loves her! Look at that cheeseball smile:) I love it!My parents have other friends that live up there that we visited too! Here's P playing with one of their grandsons' toy.Our flight was delayed coming home because of the weather. But Peyton made some friends while we waited. Here's what we were leaving for 100+ degree weather:(Look at that bed-head!Enjoying some strawberry wafers. I love this picture!
