We are back from Hailey's softball nationals in Colorado and even though we had such a great time, there is no place like home! Hailey's team did really well compared to all the other teams from Arizona, the best actually, but ended up with a record of 4-2. I am not sure where they placed, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't 1st. Thursday afternoon, after our trip to the zoo, we went to one of Hailey's games then had to head all the way across town to Hailey's All American game. And she did FANTASTIC! There were 27 girls on her team and she was the youngest! The majority were juniors and seniors. Offensively, she did great! She only batted once because the team was so big and she had a perfect bunt, which got her on base. She ended up stealing 2nd and 3rd before finally scoring. Defensively, she did just as well! She fielded a ball and got it to 2nd just in time to make a double play and get the girl out at first too! We were so proud! She met a bunch of girls from other states and had a great time! Her team ended up winning by 1! Here are some pictures from our trip! I was a little bummed I didn't take more during the games, but I got a lot at the zoo which deserved separate post!
Grandpa showing P the planes!Peyton did awesome on the plane! She missed her nap that she usually takes in the late afternoon because of all the commotion at the airport, but as soon as we got on the plane she fell asleep and woke up when we landed! It was perfect! Here we were in Westminster for her game Thursday night. It was so pretty there!Hailey warming up before her big game! Her game was even being recorded by ESPN! She was a little nervous;)Here was P during the game...She doesn't realize yet just how fun it is to watch softball. She was way too into that cracker! On our way to one of Hailey's games from the zoo we drove by Mile High Stadium where the Broncos play! Not that we are fans, but our niece is. Go Cowboys! :)Here's Natalie! One of our family friends who just moved up to Colorado a couple of months ago! We were so happy to see them, and of course Peyton was in seventh heaven with Nat! She loves her! Look at that cheeseball smile:) I love it!My parents have other friends that live up there that we visited too! Here's P playing with one of their grandsons' toy.Our flight was delayed coming home because of the weather. But Peyton made some friends while we waited. Here's what we were leaving for 100+ degree weather:(Look at that bed-head!Enjoying some strawberry wafers. I love this picture!
