Still playing catch-up...Kelli's Bridal Shower!

For Kelli's bridal shower we had a small "luncheon" and it turned out great! When Kelli first started planning their wedding, she liked the idea of doing long dinner tables at the reception. When they decided to have the wedding in California the reception site only had round tables so I thought since we were having a luncheon the long buffet style table would work perfectly! We had it in my parents backyard and the weather was perfect! Everyone had a great time!A few of Kel's friends! Some family... Peyton couldn't get enough fruit! I finally had to cut her off the blueberries so she wouldn't get a tummy ache!My mom made creme brulee and chocolate mousse for dessert! We also made rainbow chip cupcakes, which are Kelli's favorite! I think she was a little hyped up on sugar here! Peyton was helping with opening gifts! My Aunt Julie made me a recipe scrapbook with her favorite appetizers, dinners, and desserts just like this and I LOVE it! Kelli was really excited to get one too! Doesn't she look so cute? I swear, she should be a maternity model!Stealing some of grandma's cupcake! Then stealing some of mom's!

Lately...

I have been slacking on my blogging for the last month...or two...I was really excited to get some of Kelli's and Thomas's wedding pictures up so that is why that post happened so fast! Then I realized how many pictures I have from the last month or so and thought I should get those up before I forget! We have been spending a lot of time at the park before it gets too hot! I love summer, (mainly because I hate being cold) but I am not looking forward to lugging Peyton around in the heat, lathering her up on sunblock constantly if we decide to go outside, the weeds in our yard to grow out of control (which has almost happened) sweating profusely, taking showers three times a day because it's so stinkin' hot! Our electric bill:( You get the picture! However, I will take Arizona weather over anywhere else any day! Here are a few random pictures of our little lady! She woke up and I did not touch one piece of her hair before I took this! She LOVES her babies and their stroller! When we drive she has to have it in her lap or she freaks out...which is what happened right before I snapped this picture. We were at San Tan Mall when she threw a fit in front of American Eagle. I was inside paying and I look out the window to see Kenny standing there with Peyton crying and Kenny pointing to the truck as he was saying, "We'll be at the truck." When I met him at the truck he said she started crying because he put her in the stroller to change her diaper so she couldn't have her babies at the moment. You can tell she was a little upset still, but she was tired too...I know that's no excuse! She loves her babies! She LOVES drawing! She LOVES chocolate! At the end of February we went to Schnepf Farms with Katie, Jake, and Ryker! There wasn't much open, but we went on a train ride, went into the little petting zoo, and then they had the little store open where we got a cinnamon roll. The weather was perfect!

My Sister's Wedding!

I have been such a slacker when it comes to blogging, but I could not wait to post pictures of Kelli's and Thomas' wedding weekend! Especially for those of you who could not celebrate with us! Unfortunately, I have only a few from the wedding because it was so hectic that day getting ready. Early Thursday morning my mom, Kelli, Peyton and I headed to Dana Point, CA! Peyton was such a trooper when it came to the drive! It's difficult keeping a toddler in a carseat for so long, but we took as many breaks as we could to let her run around. We loaded up with snacks and whether it was my mom's ipad, my ipod, or my sisters iphone, she was pretty content! She was so tired and over due for her morning nap and finally fell asleep before she even finished her cracker! When Kenny and Thomas got in on Friday we walked Peyton down to the beach. Luckily she didn't care too much for the water because it was freezing and really wanted nothing to do with anything but the sand! We saw some of the prettiest flowers on our way down! I thought this was such a neat picture! Maybe if she would have been looking down at the camera, but the sky looks so pretty!Looking for seashells! She found a stick to draw with! She wrote this with her stick ;)We also saw some dolphins and I barely caught one of them with my camera! Can you see it? We went to dinner Friday night with all the ladies! I had the BEST meal...I think seafood is probably my favorite especially after I had this! It had green-lipped mussels, scallions, calamari, shrimp, and something else, but I can't remember...served on top of linguini pasta! They had a marinara sauce to cover it, but I asked if they had a white sauce. I actually didn't even need sauce because this dish had so much flavor already! I also had some of my moms stuffed salmon! Yummm!!! I LOVE FOOD!!! Here was our view of the sunset when we were at dinner! Kelli's wedding gift from my parents! Kelli loves those "little blue boxes":) I think every morning we woke up, this is what the weather looked like and the sun would come out a little later. Except Saturday, it was overcast pretty much all day. Here was where they got married...It is definitely not the best shot because it's far away, but it's a little courtyard overlooking the ocean! It was GORGEOUS! I can't wait until she gets her pictures back and I will have definitely post them! The groom and his men! Showing off their cool kicks. Kelli left Thomas to pick their shoes out and he chose shiny, patent, leather Chucks with red trim on the inside. They were all pretty proud of them! By the time we were taking pictures of the bridal party the sun came out, but the wind made it a little chilly still! While Kelli and Thomas were taking pictures I had a chance to take a few of me and Kenny! I wanted to take one sitting on this rock with Kenny, but right when Hailey took the picture a wave came up! We were laughing so hard!I could not get my camera to focus right at night, without the flash so it's fuzzy, but this was our view from Cannon's Restaurant where the reception was. Here was a better view before sunset, but it was too bright to show me and P. She wasn't throwing a fit...she just wanted to lay down apparently. She did such a great job as the flower girl! When we arrived in the limo we were planning on Peyton walking down with me and Kenny, but then we decided to let her walk behind us because she would have been fine if she saw me at the end of the aisle. She got a little sidetracked and walked halfway down, then turned around then came back and somehow ended up behind My parents and Kelli walking down. She sat with my parents and was great during the ceremony!
