Even though I update our blog pretty much on a weekly basis I never really update anything about Peyton except for pictures. Our next appointment with the pediatrician isn't until next week so we will have another update then too. She finally realized with just a little momentum and a kick of her leg she can roll herself over! She smiles a lot but still has not had her first "belly" laugh. She talks to us and looks at us like she really understands what we are saying. I think she knows what "I love you" means because we tell her all the time and she smiles right away. She is definitely gaining weight (or my arms are just getting weaker). She still doesn't nap too much during the day, but still falls asleep between 7 and 8, eats around 10 or 11 at night and falls back to sleep until 6 or 7 the next morning, which is appreciated tremendously! She still sleeps with us, which I know is a habit that will be very hard to break...not for her, for us:) I asked Kenny the other night when he wanted to put her in her own bed in her own room and he just pulled her closer to him and said "probably not til she's 10." Haha Her hand-eye coordination is fun to watch too. Not only does everything go straight into her mouth, but she plays with the toys that hang down in her face from her carseat, swing, and bouncer! It's really cute to watch because she punches at it. She has also fallen asleep with her fingers wrapped around some of them. She still loves her bath and we think it is about time to put her baby bath in our tub because she splashes a lot! She has fun though! I was showering when she flipped over for the first time. I kept peeking out of the shower checking on her while she was on the bed and when I looked and saw her face in the bed I jumped out afraid she was going to suffocate or something! But when I got closer, she was okay and just trying to get her other arm out from under her:) I rolled her to her back, but a few minutes later she was trying to get back on her stomach:) She fell asleep so I thought I would lay her down in her bed, but a few minutes went by and she started to cry so I went to pick her up and she had wiggled herself to a very uncomfortable position:) She is getting so big! (As you can tell by her tight little onsie!)All washed up and smellin' good! Can I get dressed first before you start snapping pictures?!Now you are interrupting my quiet reading time!I love my tummy time!I also love to swing! She is finally able to use one of her big activity toys that has been sitting in the den waiting to be built since May! So, we put it together on Saturday and she loved it! We don't keep her in it too long though because her feet barely touch the ground and I am afraid she will lose the feeling in her legs if she can't stand...I don't know, maybe I am just paranoid or something:) She doesn't know how to turn herself around to the other toys, but she will learn soon enough.
Nana and PopPop also got one for her to play with at their house!I am sorry our Cowboys had to beat your Seahawks Uncle Rod! But thank goodness they did because you know my dad when they lose:)Monday night Auntie Hailey had a championship softball game. They have been playing against other teams in a fall ASA league the last few weeks just for practice and they had a tournament at the end. Her team made it all the way to the finals and WON!It went a little past her bed time:) Hope everyone had a great weekend!
