Overdue Update(s)!

Peyton is all over the place now-a-days and getting into so much stuff! She likes to play with tupperware, piles of FOLDED clothes, Kenny's dvds, and just about anything else she can get her curious little hands on! She has such a sensitive little soul and will cry like a baby (no pun intended) if someone laughs around her, at her, with her, it really doesn't matter. I was talking to the pharmacist one day at Target and we started to laugh and she looked at me and got a huge frown and started to SCREAM. Kenny had to walk away with her to calm her down. Same thing happened at Dillard's when the lady at the jewelry counter and I were talking, and again one night when we were giving her a bath and I was messing with her hair. She just gets offended or something. She likes to clap when we say "yay" all on her own without us doing it with her. Kenny and my mom have been working on teaching her "high five" and she is getting that down too! Luckily, we can still put her in her walker without worrying too much about what she is getting into and she loves it! It kinda looks like she is going so fast that her hair is blowing back, but really it's just her bedhead.Crawling to the tupperware after getting bored with the pantry. She got tangled in the Target bag, but that wasn't gonna stop her!Kenny calls Winnie her "P-I-C" (Partner in Crime) because Winnie follows her all around. They love each other so much! One day she got halfway under our bed and was just watching tv.Peyton is pretty much done with baby food and will only eat the fruits now. We have been letting her try different foods and all she wants is whatever is on our plates. She has had chicken noodle soup, spaghetti, lasagna, scrambled eggs, pasta salad, just to name a few. We went to Carraba's a couple of weeks ago and she was in Heaven with their mashed potatoes! The people at the table next to us kept talking about her and how cute she was. Here was her first real meal of spaghetti.Would you like some Daddy? We also went to Lara's baby shower a couple of weeks ago! We have been friends since the first grade! I wasn't going to bring Peyton, but Lara wanted to see her. She let her hold her for the first 10 minutes or so and was totally fine...then her attitude quickly changed:) Here's the cute picture of them I stole from Lara's blog! She also found a new friend. We went to a little family gathering last weekend and there was a little girl there who was only about 3 weeks older than Peyton. If this doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will:)What a little peach!I went into to check on Peyton while she was napping and thought it was funny to see her sleeping like this because I sometimes fall asleep in the same position. Like mother, like daughter:) She chased this plastic star out of her room and down the hall...everytime she got it she would throw it and crawl to get it.It kept her entertained for a bit...until she saw my feet and wanted to play with my toes. That didn't last long because I wouldn't let her eat them! Hopefully we don't have one of those kids who bite their toenails! I know, GROSS!Kenny and I started softball again. Friday night we had our first double header and won both! I was kinda nervous to play because it's been a season, with the exception of a game or two, but I hit all seven times I was up to bat! My body definitely felt the results of all that running I did the next morning and Sunday was even worse! But it was a lot of fun! We actually are playing in two leagues in the next couple weeks and can't wait! This one just started earlier. It's going to be a lot of fun! My dad came so that he could keep an eye on P and she got cranky a few times so we had to switch the batting order so Kenny and I weren't right next to each other in the line-up. That way one of us took care of her when she was having a meltdown! Here she is after the game still awake at almost 11:00! Her sleep schedule has been a little messed up lately so we try to keep her up as late as possible. The 3:30-4 in the morning Peyton alarm clock just wasn't working for us!
