One of my favorite things ON EARTH is to go on a road trip with Kenny! We get all packed up and ready to go, then we have to stop and get all of our snacks and drinks while we fill up with gas. We listen to all sorts of music. Usually I will pick one then Kenny will pick one and we just keep going back and forth 'til we get to our destination.
On Friday, we went up to my grandparent's cabin, which is about 10 miles past Payson. It took us FOREVER to get there because everyone decided to leave when we did! I know it was Labor Day weekend, but it actually didn't get backed up until we were just past Rye. It would have only taken us about 10-15 minutes if we were driving at a normal highway speed, but instead it took us almost an hour and a half to get into Payson from there! It's okay though...I was stuck in the truck with my husband and that gave us some quality time to talk about whatever came across our minds. We were only up there for Friday night and Saturday, but it was a lot of fun. Some much needed time away from work, school, and the heat.
We haven't been up to their cabin since they bought it, and we didn't know how pretty it was until the next morning when there was sunlight. They also have a creek that runs right about 40 ft from their porch! Here is Kenny crossing it with Cotton, my little sister's mule. In all the years that Kenny and I have been together, he has never been on any of our horses or mules! He was a little timid at first, but I couldn't stress to him enough that Cotton is the most mellow thing you could ever ride! I think it's impossible for her to run! No Joke! My mom took Kenny and my cousin on a ride and Kenny said he really enjoyed it! At first, he had a hard time getting her to cross the creek so my mom had to help pull her across:) But back to reality now! We had our last fantasy draft last night with Kenny's family and some friends! Just four more days until kickoff! The only bummer is that Kenny has a softball game on Thursday so we will miss it:( Oh well, I am sure the rest of the week will go by fast! It's almost Tuesday! Plus, I have two or three tests this week and those always seem to sneak up on you! I love it, but my gosh is it tough! I feel like I have done nothing, but come home from school and study! I feel so bad because I think we have eaten out every night except once or twice last week because I haven't taken time to go to the grocery store and cook a good meal! But we went grocery shopping today so hopefully that won't happen again this week:) Hope everyone had a good Labor Day and enjoy the rest of the week!

What a fun weekend! We were thinking about going up to Pine for the weekend (Aaron's sister and bro-in-law live up there) but ended up staying in town. The cabin looks so inviting, it's always nice to have a break from everyday life no matter how short!
KARA!!! I didn't know you had a blog!! YAY I'm so excited. I tried to get back on myspace and couldn't find you. Now we can still keep in touch. You better update regularly :) Love ya!!
