Nice & relaxing 3 day weekend

Saturday morning Uncle Matt had to finish his football game that was rained out. Then we went to Kenny's parents, ate some delicious bbq chicken with baked potatoes and watched the ASU game with Matt and Sasha! Sunday, Kenny had a football draft then we went to my parents for a good steak and potato dinner! Monday we slept in, went grocery shopping and came home and just hung out, watched tv, and played with Peyton! Here are some pictures from the weekend!
I am starting to fit into some of my 3 month clothes!Daddy Really likes this dress!Kenny's parents got Peyton a toy to hang on her crib. She doesn't sleep in there yet, but the other day I was doing some laundry and I put her down and turned it on and she was loving it! It was a little dark because it was overcast outside so she could see the bright lights really well!Tired little baby. It's so funny how she falls asleep with her hands up like that.Awww, you make me blush when you tell me how pretty I am!Swinging is hard work, but someone's gotta do itBeautiful baby girlAuntie Kelli wanted me to fall asleep on her...she must have been tired too! Since we found out we were having her, my parents said they were gonna get Peyton her first pony...and they weren't lying!Look ma, no hands! Yee Haw!

Full of Smiles!

Peyton is growing like a weed! She is moving, smiling, and "talking" more and more everyday! And of course...getting cuter than EVER! I don't know what can be better than her gummy grin she flashes, but I am sure when she starts giggling we will say the same thing. She is becoming a chunkers too! I love her little double chin and her rolls on her legs! We are so blessed to have such a happy, beautiful, healthy baby girl. Obviously I am one of those moms who have to put those ridiculous, out-of-control kinda bows on her little girl, but they are so cute, how can I resist?!

Okay...are we done yet...because I am?Softball season is starting and I am really looking forward to playing again. Kenny has already started playing in his men's league. Luckily his games have been the later double-headers so Peyton and I have been able to go and hang out with everyone since it isn't too hot...she usually falls asleep:)
Going...Going...Gone...For Father's Day Kenny got a gift certificate to do this handprint with Peyton. The lady came over and did it when Peyton was two weeks old and it took her about four weeks to finish it. It's sad how much she has grown since then, but luckily he will always have something to look at and remember just how small she was. Kenny picked out the colors...It turned out great! She wasn't really enjoying it...Hope everyone has a good week!

Sorry for the delay in our posts, she keeps me pretty busy through out the day...you'd think I could find time to put pictures up, but she doesn't take too many naps and when she does it's not for long. It helps though because she sleeps so well at night...or maybe it's because she is in our bed??? I know, I know, they aren't supposed to sleep with you, but it's usually because I accidently fall asleep and I think subconsciously, I know she is there. She usually starts out in her bed beside ours, but it's much easier to just grab her out of that and feed her in bed rather than to get up and feed in a rocking chair hoping that she will stay asleep as you lay her back down. Besides, I love cuddling with her! Anyway, my time management skills have gotten better and I have came to realize it's amazing what you can do with one arm and a baby in the other:) She is such a blast though and we are enjoying every minute of her! We love taking her out and she likes it too! We went and walked around the San Tan Mall saturday night because it was so nice out. We can't wait until Christmas-it will be even nicer! She is moving so much more and getting so strong too! She is also developing a little personality it seems like. She will smile so much in the mornings when she is waking up. We will keep talking to her and it's like she can't stop smiling...it's the cutest thing! Here she is enjoying some tummy-time!Hanging out while mom cooks dinner! She has hit the toys a couple of times:) How could you not cuddle with this little thing! Here are some of her morning smiles!

She also is getting ready for football season! She reads up on the Cowboys everyday with dad and she has already been watching their pre-season games. I made her a Cowboys bow and I had to make her a onesie because her jersey is too big to wear this year.

Peyton is 1 month old!

This weekend we took Peyton out and about for the first time! She turned one month on Saturday! To celebrate her one month birthday, we took her to Babies-R-Us and got some toys, clothes, and other random items. We also went and saw Nonnie this weekend! She cooked us a delicious breakfast too! I am one Month old! You like my new hat? I can even wear it in the pool! They had a swimsuit that matched, but the style wasn't very cute. She is so funny!
She also had her one month appointment and everything went great! She weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces, and she has grown to 21.5 inches! The doc said she is doing great! Also, saturday night was the first night that I have been away from her for longer than 45 minutes! I had a bridal shower and decided not to take Peyton since it was in the bar section of the Grand Lux Cafe. So it was just her and dad for the evening! I was sad to leave her because I knew that I would miss her so much, but I knew she was in good hands with her daddy. I had a really good time, but I couldn't wait to get home! I had never been there before, and I will definitely want to go again because it was delicious, but with Kenny and Peyton! I recommend the Asian Nachos and Buffalo Chicken Rolls with extra buffalo sauce! Mmmmmm good! We also took her to the mall on Sunday! We were in The Children's Place and I found a really cute outfit and it ended up being cheaper than I thought! So I went to look for some more stuff while Kenny was walking around the store. A few minutes went by and Kenny came up to me, laughed, and said "Hey we either need to go or I need to buy a new shirt" because Peyton spit up on him! He said a little girl in the store saw right when it happened and she started laughing:) He just held her the rest of the time we were there with the burp cloth covering the stain on his shirt. We just laughed about it!

Bath Time!

Peyton's umbilical cord fell off so she received her first real bath! Surprisingly, the girl liked it! We thought for sure she would want nothing to do with it, but she didn't put up any sort of fight:) After a few pictures of her in her gigantic robe, she started fussing, so we got her dressed and she was good!

By the time we got to the family picture, she was not having it! All in all, it was a pleasant experience for her though, we think:)

2 weeks old!

I can't believe our little Sweet P is two weeks old already! Everyday I will stop what I am doing, pick her up (if I am not already holding her) and whether she is sleeping or not, I will just stare at her and soak her precious little face in! I know she is going to grow so fast because these last couple weeks have flown by! We are so thankful for her and there is not a day that goes by without recognizing that we are so blessed to have a healthy, beautiful, and happy baby girl! She wasn't too sure about the whole bottle thing, but we think she likes it now!Getting ready to get her diaper changed...luckily, you can't hear the sound that is coming out of that little mouth! She loves kisses from Daddy!Leaving a nice little present in my diaper for mom and dad!So precious!Just hanging out! Oh yeah, and her umbilical cord fell off so she will be getting her first real bath later! That should be fun...considering she hates to be on her back and she freaks out when we sponge bathe her! There will be some Kodak moments I am sure!
